Banja Koviljača - Koviljača Spa

Banja Koviljaca (Koviljaca Spa) is situated in the northwest of Serbia, at the height of 128 m above sea level.

According to the archeological researches, the area of Banja Koviljaca was settled from the ancient times, and the ruins of the Koviljski town evidence that.

On the river Drina, not far away from the Spa, there are well-arranged places for sport fishing as well as a bathing beach.

In the near vicinity of the Spa there are the famous historic sites, such as: Trsic, a birth place of Vuk Karadzic, a great reformer of the Serbian language and orthography, then Tronosa monastery (14 c.), the remains of old towns and fortresses, the Gucevo Mt. and the Zvornik Lake.

Banja Koviljaca has several mineral water springs.

Water temperature is from 15 to 28 degrees Centigrade.
