Banja Rusanda - Rusanda Spa

Banja Rusanda (Rusanda Spa) is situated in the northeast of Serbia at the height of 82 m above sea level.

From Banja Rusanda it is possible to organize excursions to the town of Becej, well known for its horse farm, as well as to the nearby vineyards and orchards for which this region is also famous. At the distance of 25 km there is a tourist spot Ecka with rich hunting and fishing resorts.

Parks, lake and sport fields for soccer, small sports and tennis court offer all favourable conditions for recreation, amusement and athletes training in this Spa.

THERMAL WATERS

Physical, chemical and basic chemical results
TEMPERATURE:
Temperature of the inspected water was 28*C and belongs to the category of hypothermal waters.
PH VALUE:
PH value is 7.8 - alkaline reaction
MINERALIZATION:
Total mineralization of the inspected water is 3.222 gr/l and the dry rest on 180*C is 2.050 gr/l - solid mineralized water

Results of the chemical analyses

CATIONS:
Among cations, dominate ion of natrium (Na+) with 84.42 milival%
ANIONS:
In anion content, dominate ion of HCO3 with 85.13% milival%.
It is noted that in chemical analyses are noticed the presence of ammonium (NH4+), and also the higher level of nitrate, because this water is hygienic unacceptable. High level of ammonium and nitrate are, probably, implicated with non-existence of protection zone, which enables contamination of water.
WEAK ELECTROLITS:
Values of meta - boric acid and meta-silica acid are in normal range.
DECOMPILED GASES:
It is noted the presence of decompiled hydrogen-sulphide H2S with 0.0005 mg/l

WEEKEND TOURISM

Weekend tourism has long tradition and it affirmated itself with population of nearby colonies (Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Novi Becej). Except the balneal tourism, there are more appropriate localities in nearby area:
Lakes Rusanda and Ostrvo (Isle), DTD canal and the sport center "Rusanda". It is necessary, to reach the higher quality level of offering and greater profitability of the weekend tourism to equip these localities with appropriate hotelier, recreative, sanitary and other infrastructure objects in accordance with accepted Program of Development.
Raising the quality of tourist offering, its more efficient integration and with appropriate marketing presentation would be given great contribution to structural differentiation to the tourist product of the Rusanda Spa.

SPORT AND RECRETIONAL TOURISM

Sport and recreative tourism is one of the most profitable aspects of the tourist commerce, which especially highlights the importance of its better organization and more efficient integration into tourist product of the wider area of the Rusanda Spa.
The base of more intensive development of this aspect of the selective tourism, including medical and recreative services of the balneal tourism (pool, recreation halls), make sport fields and object of the sport center "Rusanda", Ostrvo lake and DTD canal. The stay of domestic and foreign sport teams (Beograd, [abac, Raška, Backa Palanka, Macedonia) make important item in tourist commerce of the spa's capacities. Forming the sport-recreative center within the Spa, from the present sport-recreative infrastructure and with building up of clime-rock on the Ostrvo Lake and DTD canal would be assured highly important qualitative component in entire tourist product of Rusanda.

HUNTING TOURISM

The base of development of these aspects in selective tourism make various habitats of species interesting for hunting and fishing (rabbits, ducks, pheasants, grouses, carp fishes, pikes, nut galls, catfish. Long time contract with Italian tourists and their stay in Spa's pavilions is important from the aspect of foreign tourist commerce, but still, it is not yet adequately organized and integrated in the integral tourist offering of the Rusanda.
Else, offering of the hunting and fishing tourism should place to attract the adequate segments of requests, but to be also accessible to balneal guests as the additional content of their stay in this region.

MANIFESTATIION TOURISM

Manifestation tourism, still, didn't earned market affirmation through organizing of cultural, entertaining and other manifestation. However, with more qualitative organization and better marketing presentation of manifestations for the occasion of the village church celebration on the day of Ghosts (horse old carriage parade) could arise into independent tourist motive with strong effect on adequate segments of tourist requesting.
Having in mind the available sport infrastructure (lake water, sport fields of the Rusanda, horse - race field) in the Rusanda Spa could successfully develop sport and recreative tourism. It is very important to have in mind the importance and multiple effects of organizing the appropriate sport manifestations, because they make special attraction, important component of the integral tourist product and element of comprehensive stay of the tourists.

CONGRESS TOURISM

Congress tourism is put among the most profitable aspects of selective tourism (tourism out of the main season and organization of meetings). Although, the origins of this tourist aspect are visible in the Spa (organization of several symposiums and meetings considering medical topics), for further development is needed building up of the already planned hotel with modern up-to-date equipped congress hall that could represent an integral part of the combined sport-business center.
With regard to the contents, here should organize meetings with medical topics (balneo- climatology), ecology, tourism, sport and recreation.

VILLAGE TOURISM

Village tourism has a base in a long tradition of domestic diligence in Melenci in giving services of accommodation and feeding of the spa's guests. Communal accomplishment and orderliness of the village with over 500 registered beds, as well as developed production of the ecologically healthy food represent a solid material base for developing of this tourist aspect, more popular every day. Involving the nearby homesteads into tourist offering should be provided very important qualitative component in the entire tourist product of the Rusanda Spa with multiple effects: more direct use of ecological values of the area, provision of free jobs for some members of village families and extra source of emoliment for village agricultural domestic economies, advancement of structure and time distribution of tourist commerce and others.
